College Football Week 12 Picks – Who Ya Got?

It’s Week Before We Play Our Most Hated Rival Week. A few conference matchups, but lots of paycheck games to give teams a chance to rest their starters after building a 100-point halftime lead and give little brother enough money to fund his athletic department for another month. Let’s get to it!

Ar-Kansas at ‘Bama – This will probably be a repeat of what happened to the Hogs in Athens – a decent matchup on paper that will not materialize on the field. The Evil Empire 38, Pigs 10

Vanderbilt at Misipi – The Vandy coach is probably having golden dome dreams these days, remembering the times when his teams had at least a snowball’s chance in hell to win. Misipi 40, Vandy 7

Tennessee State at Misipi St – Bulldogs keep rolling after last week’s massive comeback. Jerry Clower U 45, Tennessee St 6

Florida at Missouri – Reports of the death of Mizzou were exaggerated. Not sure they can topple Florida, even a reduced Florida. Lizards 27, Mizzou 24

South Alabama at Tennessee – Hey, look, a team from Alabama that Tennessee can beat! Rocky Medium 33, USA 10

Prairie View at Texas A&M – This would be a blowout anyway, but throw in the anger of A&M after giving away their last shot at the division title? The paycheck will be less effective after all the grief counseling PV will have to contract to heal the souls of their players after this beat-down. A&M 63, Prairie View 0

Auburn at South Carolina – After never showing up in College Station and one of the biggest gag-jobs of all time, you have to wonder what this squad is thinking. DC Derek Mason’s crew melting down last week was good fodder for all those who believe he never should have had a head coaching job. Will they rally and bounce back this week? I kinda doubt it. Marshall at Charlotte – Remember me saying I had always penciled in the Rice game as a win ever since the schedule came out? This is one I have always penciled in as a loss. We just don’t have enough on defense to stop any competent offense. Fortunately, we have an incompetent team next week to secure a bowl bid. Thundering, Stomping Herd 43, 49ers 14
