All the regular season games have been played, and it’s now BOWL SEASON! Rather than just picking the SEC and Charlotte 49ers games, I’ll predict all the bowl games. We’ll take them one week at a time, beginning with the games of December 20-26. Let’s have some fun!

Bahamas Bowl (Nassau), Charlotte vs. Buffalo – And the very first bowl game is the one involving my school. Both teams are on a major roll. I’ll admit I don’t know much about Buffalo, other than they have a prolific offense. So this should be a track meet. My guys have radically exceeded expectations. Could they pull one more rabbit out of the hat? I’d love to think so, but I just can’t see them going all the way from 2-5 to 8-5. It’s still been a fabulous year. Buffalo 49, 49ers 34

Frisco Bowl (Frisco, TX), Utah State vs. Kent State – USU has a bunch of people caught in a narcotics net. Chalk one up for my fellow Ohioans. Ken State 27, USU 23

New Mexico Bowl (Albuquerque), Central Michigan vs. San Diego State – McElwain is enjoying a rebirth in the middle of Michigan. CMU 30 SDSU 20

Cure Bowl (Orlando), Georgia Southern vs. Liberty – Speaking of rebirth, the Frozen Coach (Hugh Freeze) is having one too. But they’re playing the one team that managed to beat Appalachian State this year. GSU 23, Jerry Falwell U 21

Boca Raton Bowl, FAU vs. SMU – Sucks to be SMU, as FAU gets to play the bowl game on their home field. FAU 35, SMU 30

Camellia Bowl (Montgomery, AL), FIU vs. Arkansas State –  FIU is coached by former big-time coach Butch Davis. He’s doing fairly well. This might be a game that gets him back in the power 5 again. FIU 33, Ar-Kansas Tate 21

Las Vegas Bowl, Washington vs. Boise State – Both teams are in the middle of the top 25. But Washington just lost their coach. Edge to the Blue Turf Team. Boise St 28, Washington 24

New Orleans Bowl, UAB vs. Appalachian State – UAB is my brother’s school. They had defensive issues in the C-USA championship game. And this is their reward. Ouch. The Other Mountaineers 45, UAB 17

Gasparilla Bowl (Tampa), Marshall vs. UCF – Kinda sorta a home game for UCF, but they have fallen off quite a bit this year. But Marshall can struggle to score. UCF 27, Marshall 20

Hawaii Bowl (Honolulu), BYU vs. Hawaii – In just about every case, I’m going to pick the team that is playing the bowl game on their own field. Hawaii 37, Mormons 20

Independence Bowl (Shreveport), Miami (FL) vs. Louisiana Tech – You have to wonder about Miami’s motivation playing in an obscure game in a tiny location. And it’s kinda sorta a home game for Tech. LTU 26, Miami 23

Quick Lane Bowl (Detroit), Pitt vs. Eastern Michigan – Again, a kinda sort home game. But in this case, there’s a much higher-profile opponent coming. Pitt 28, EMU 14

Last week’s record: 7-3

Season: 108-26
